I”m a terribly lazy author. I’m an even worse blogger. But here’s what I’ve been working on.
I’ve finished Thrills (Cold Hard Truths #2)! And by finished I mean I’ve written the last word. I haven’t proofed it yet, and I still need to go back in and add a bit more meat to some parts. I’m hoping to have this done in the next two to three weeks, and then off to my wonderful editor at Loose Id. It’s currently with one of my lovely beta readers who always has useful input.
I found this story took me a lot longer to write than Vices. Vices took me after three months to write, yet Thrills has taken me closer to nine months. I think it might be because I’m letting go of some characters I’ve really invested myself in. Thrills will be the last book in the duology between Carver and Jones.
Besides Thrills, I’ve been working on a few other things. I’m still in the process of refining another contemporary story I’ve been working on.
I also have a southern gothic story I’ve completely outlined and can’t wait to begin writing. It has a few paranormal hints to it, which is new to me, so it’s exciting to think about.
I’m also very happy with the feedback Maps has been getting. Maps was just a short little ball of fluff I got a random urge to write. A few people have asked/hinted at another book about Maps, but, at least right now, there’s nothing like that in the horizon.
I have taken Maps off ARe and Smashwords and enrolled it in Kindle Select for the next few months in hopes of reaching a few more readers.
Happy reading, everyone!
